aT CRAFTSMAN cONCRETE fLOORS, wE’RE PROUD TO BE INVOLVED IN OUR COMMUNITY.
We’re partnered with the West Dallas Neighborhood Coalition to help promote sustainable development in our community. Some primary objectives include increasing access to affordable housing, creating walkable retail corridors, and protecting residential zoning districts such as Dallas PD 714 including 1007 Folsom Street, Dallas, Texas.
Why West Dallas?
West Dallas is a historic neighborhood that has long been prized for its culture, diversity, and affordable housing. As the area has gentrified, large housing complexes such as Trinity Groves and Sylvan Thirty have made the area more attractive to new tenants while also rapidly decreasing housing affordability. Since the start of the 2021 housing marking explosion, single-family housing costs as high as $600/sqft have been seen in some of the more modest single-family neighborhoods. Starting prices in established neighborhoods such as Kessler Park are generally well over one million dollars.
At Craftsman Concrete Floors, we provide a sustainable flooring solution we believe in. While polished concrete floors can’t solve the affordable housing crisis in Dallas, we do believe they do their part. Our flooring solutions are up to 80% less expensive than other luxury flooring options. Further, flooring can be one of the single most expensive parts of new home construction.
As flooring alone cannot solve the problem, we’re actively involved in neighborhood groups and charities that help promote affordable housing solutions. We aggressively oppose the development of neighborhoods that don’t offer a substantial amount of affordable housing. We provide support to local politicians who believe in affordable housing, and we provide reduced pricing to builders with the same mission.
