For the best-looking finished product, these floors were installed in two mobilizations. The first mobilization was executed at the start of the build-out when the building was an empty shell. During this mobilization, contamination from previous flooring was removed from the floor through heavy diamond grinding steps. Subsequently, progressively finer diamonds were used to hone the floor, achieving a smooth and aesthetically pleasing finish. The floor was then treated with a temporary sealer and covered with heavy paper for protection while walls were framed on top of the paper. In our final mobilization, we performed a polishing pass to eliminate any remaining construction-related contaminants from the floor. Finally, a penetrating sealer was applied to protect the floor from everyday wear and tear.
